Past NC Pack Leader PDD Thomas Perrone

A Past Pack Leader for the NC Pack and SC Pack of the Military Order of the Devil Dogs (The Fun & Honor Society of the Marine Corps League) is currently recovering in Capital Nursing and Rehab Center of Raleigh. PDD Tom Perrone who is a member of the Marine Corps League Air, Land, NC Detachment #1257 in Wake Forest had several falls the other week that left this 92-year-old Marine with 4 fractured ribs, a partially collapsed left lung, and running a low-grade fever. After spending a few days in Rex Hospital, he was transferred to the Capital Nursing and Rehab Center for the remaining recovery period. PDD Perrone was a Marine that served during WWII, Korea, and Vietnam before retiring in 1970 after 25 years of active duty service.

 

 PDD Perrone was instrumental in starting the Marine Corps League Department of South Carolina, the Military Order of the Devil Dogs South Carolina Pack, and is a charter member of the Myrtle Beach Little River Detachment #1342 before moving to Charlotte, NC with his wife Mary, who is also a Marine and Marine Corps League member. If you are in the Raleigh area and have a few minutes to spare, please stop by and see this Marine. Let him know that his brothers and sisters of the Marine Corps League and the Military Order of the Devil Dogs are thinking about him and we are here to help this fine Marine.

 

Today, on 27 SEP 2019, three Marines from three different Marine Corps League Detachments went to visit with PDD Tom Perrone and showered him with love and support as we are known for “Marines taking care of Marines”. Pictured from left to right with PDD Perrone is Devell “Bull” Durham Jr. of the Johnston County Marine Corps League Carry-On Detachment #1236, Bill Mosena of the Marine Corps League Air, Land, NC Detachment #1257 of Wake Forest, and Randal Rempfer of the Marine Corps League Tar Heel Detachment #733 of Raleigh. Devell and Randal are also members of the Military Order of the Devil Dogs Jesse O. Price Pound #210 of NC Pack, Devell is the Pound Keeper and Randal is the Pound Smart Dog, Bill plans to join the MODD at the Winter Growl. Woof-Woof!
